GMI(R) Travelling to Chicago to see True Value Hardware
GMI(R) will be in the Windy City the week of November 14th along with our partner R. C. Plourd to visit with our long time customer, True Value Hardware at their headquarters in Chicago.
GMI(R) currently supplies Pet/Baby Gates and our PetShield Pet Barrier line to True Value Hardware Stores across the country. We are meeting with the buyer to review our current line of gates and barriers, to suggest some space saving items, and to introduce True Value to our new line of Wood Slat Gates, GuardMaster III. Our GMI(R) GuardMaster Wood Slat line is brand new and completely innovative, made in the U.S.A, and JPMA Certified. The slats, frame and pressure bars are made of sturdy American Hardwood. All of GMI(R)'s wood products are manufacturered here in the USA at our Mt. Sterling, KY manufacturing facility. All of our wood is sourced in the Mid West. The innovative wood slat design discourages "climbers" and is more "upscale that your typical gate.
We will also be re-introducing our GMI(R) Hurricane Wedge. The GMI(R) Hurricane Wedge has been tested by the University of New Orleans, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and provides adequate protection to the top end of a Class 2 Hurricane. It installs easily with no hardware or tools required. The Hurricane Wedge installs with pressure to keeping plywood securely in your window. You can use any thickness of plywood when covering your windows. The Hurrcane Wedge includes rubber bumpers to hold the plywood securely in the window. It locks into place with a deep notched hardwood pressure bar and a hardened steel swivel lock wire. It is the perfect solution for fast, secure storm protection. GMI(R) will be suggesting True Value Hardware Stores in coastal areas carry inventory of this unique item during Hurricane Season.
